Essay: Riot Architecture
Overview
Can our buildings move beyond the soulless structures and aggressive infrastructure that we saw in the wake of ’68, and offer instead beauty, civility, and respect? This is the essay I wrote to architects during the urban uprising in Baltimore during April and May of 2015, following the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody.
